From the mundane of day-to-day living to the challenging experiences that are beyond our capacity and control, I believe we should never have to walk through life alone. I see kids, adolescents, individuals, and families. Ideal clients recognize something isn't going the way they want, and they are motivated to change, learn, and grow. I am experienced in the trauma treatment of sexual, emotional, and religious abuse, PTSD, miscarriage/infertility, infidelity, divorce, and chronic poverty. I love walking with clients navigating their sexual, gender, cultural, and/or religious identities. I offer a culturally-sensitive combination of CBT, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care. My goal is to help clients change negative thoughts and feelings, regain control of their stories, and rewrite a story filled with meaning and purpose. I also offer spiritual integration when requested. Finding a counselor you can trust is important, but it can also be daunting. There are a lot of options, and the process can be overwhelming. I welcome you to reach out and schedule a 15 minute phone consultation with me. Let's see if we are a great fit for each other! I would love the privilege of navigating life experiences with you.

As a therapist, I offer a nonjudgmental and affirming space where you can embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and connection. I have experience working with anxiety, mood and emotion regulation, identity development, relational and attachment wounds, and trauma. I am rooted in humanistic and experiential practices, with a strong foundation in the Person-Centered Approach and Gestalt Therapy. I also incorporate elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment science, and polyvagal theory to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. This eclectic approach allows me to provide holistic care that addresses cultural, emotional, relational, and physiological aspects of well-being in a supportive and trauma-informed manner. Together, we'll work to empower you to embrace your true self, build resilience, and cultivate meaningful connections with yourself and those around you

LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Mediator, and Presenter. I have extensive training and experience as a therapist, interventionist, recovery and life coach working with individuals and family members affected by substance use, mental health issues, sexual and relationship addiction, and/or life challenges. I have additional training in Forgiveness Work and can provide animal and experiential therapy if those fit.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is key and look forward to meeting you to see if we are a good fit. My style is meeting people where they are with a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach. Therapy is not a “one size fits all” approach and believe there are many pathways to wellness. Through my personal and professional experience, I know how difficult asking for help and finding resources can be. My passion is helping anyone who wants help. I grew up in North Carolina and enjoy hiking, biking, and rescuing dogs. Look forward to meeting with you and having a conversation.

LCSW
During my past five years in the therapy field, I have worked with clients from all different ages to help process their feelings and help them deal with not only trauma, but every day life. My specialties include depression, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, family dynamics, trauma/ abuse, parenting concerns, cognitive behavioral therapies, and problem solving. I enjoy working with children and teenagers who are struggling with their emotions, stress, or a past trauma. I am open with my clients and provide a non-judgmental and safe space that people have found easy to relate with. While understanding that we all come from different backgrounds and situations, I want every person to achieve the best in their life and the goals they have set for themselves. I am positive and motivated to meet each person where they are at and equip them with the tools they need to be successful. Life can be hard, stressful, and even traumatic but I believe people were born for connection. Come join me in the walk of life where we will learn to give ourselves grace, love and opportunity for our future. You are not alone, and you are worthy of being connected, happy, and successful.

LCSW
During my decade as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have helped clients of all backgrounds cope with trauma and improve their lives. My specialties include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma/abuse, parenting concerns, and such women's health issues as infertility, maternal depression, and PCOS. My practice also concentrates on stress management and navigating issues related to one's family of origin. Cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness lie at the heart of my therapeutic approach. I value being present in the moment with an individual as they learn to cope with their struggle. Realizing that one size does not fit all, I emphasize a multi-culturally competent, humanistic, and person-centered approach that is goal-centered, strengths-based, and holistic. I am passionate about neurodevelopment and enjoy incorporating brain science into my work. I embrace the idea that a sense of humor can help in healing. Life can be difficult and traumatic. But I believe we have a saving grace: our innate wiring for connection. I consider a strong therapeutic relationship to be the foundation for positive change. I hope to build relationships that begin with an open mind and honest acceptance of where you are in life. You are worthy of the positive change you seek.
I am licensed in North Carolina and able to conduct virtual sessions for people who live in South Carolina:

LCSW/EMDR Trained
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over ten years of experience counseling a wide range of individuals including those with severe and persistent mental illness. I have worked with all ages ranging from young children to older adults. I am personally rewarded when individuals in therapy progress as they work toward their own goals. I am an empathetic, empowering, and solution focused therapist that uses different modes of therapy depending on my client’s needs. I believe in developing a therapeutic relationship with the client which includes a safe environment and firm boundaries. This welcoming environment allows clients to share and feel like the space is judgement free. I work closely with my clients to create a treatment plan that addresses goals of their choice. Some of the types of therapy that I can incorporate into treatment include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy as needed, Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma focused therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Polyvagal Theory as needed. Additionally, I am able to incorporate both spiritual and religious beliefs into sessions as clients see fit.
